My commitment
I want everyone who visits this website to feel welcome and to be able to find what they need easily. I am committed to making AKA Therapeutix accessible, in line with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA.
What I have done
- Used clear, semantic HTML with logical heading structure and one H1 per page.
- Provided skip links at the top of every page to jump to main content, footer and navigation.
- Ensured all interactive elements are keyboard operable with visible focus states.
- Chosen colour combinations that meet WCAG AA contrast ratios against the dark background.
- Added meaningful alt text to all images.
- Labelled all form fields clearly, with error messages tied to each field.
- Respected
prefers-reduced-motionso animations and transitions are minimised for those who prefer less motion. - Designed mobile-first, so the site works well on small screens from 360px up.
Known limitations
Some images are currently placeholders awaiting final photography. Real images will be supplied with appropriate alt text before launch. The Google Maps embed is a third-party widget and its accessibility is governed by Google.
